Artists
Chang Yun-Ming
Chang grows up in a fishing village surrounded by eish farm and ocean. His Chinese ink artworks fully portrays the rural life with unusual strong strokes and rich colors in his earlier art creating stages. Thus, he is recognized as the artist originating the new style for Chinese ink artworks. In 1990s, Chang determined to leave his home country and started the life in America to put himself into the western fine art world for more creative art mergence. Since then, he changed his creating materials from ink into oil paintings. With simple yet strong strokes and mixture of wild and placid rhythm of the drawing, Chang honestly expressed his personal perception and ideas about life. By merging the elements of the east that full of veiled philosophy of Lao-Zi and Zhuang-Zi, with the western that stressing the rational, liberated, and indulgent individualism, Chang conceals his passion for art into each of all his worthy of exclamation works.
